HOW DO YOU NORMALLY WORK?
Every project begins with a thorough initial consultation with the Client where I, as the Designer, can take the time to understand you, your space and your vision. More about the initial consultation process is directly below. No two projects are ever the same, so the process will differ each time. From the consultation, I shape a process that’s tailored to the Client, but generally it might follow a few key stages:
After the in-depth consultation which is really important, I can develop concept and mood boards to capture the overall look and feel of the design, see it as the inspiration and vision on one page. From here, 2D plans help map out the space clearly, while 3D designs bring it to life, giving you a realistic sense of how everything will look once complete. I can show them possibilities they may never have considered on their own.
Once the vision feels right, I can guide you through selecting all the furniture, fixtures and finishes that bring the design together. For many clients, I also handle the project management - from coordinating trades and deliveries to keeping an eye on budgets and timelines, making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
I also offer styling services to add those last finishing touches, once the project is complete. This is where we pull everything together, layering in detail so that the space feels complete, personal, and even better than you imagined.
As I say, every client’s brief, expectations and budget is different, so it’s best to contact me directly so I can understand more about how I might be able to help you. -
WHAT SERVICES DID YOU OFFER?
I offer a range of services tailored to your space, your needs, and your vision.
Because every project is unique, I encourage you to get in touch to chat about what’s right for you. Services include a single-room refresh, visualisation packages, fixtures, fittings and finishes selection & procurement (put simply - all the things that make a space look and feel complete will be completed for the client by the Designer), styling support, project and budget management. Every service is designed to make your space feel effortless, beautiful, and truly yours.

Do you offer online or virtual design consultations?
I can offer both. Ideally, I like to be able to come and view the space for larger scale projects with a bigger scope, but the best thing to do is contact me about your desired project and we can decide the best and most viable option.
Although I am currently based in the South Hams in Devon, I work remotely and can travel.
-
HOW FAR CAN YOU TRAVEL?
My projects aren’t limited by location. I’ve successfully designed homes and spaces further afield, and with a combination of remote collaboration and planned site visits, distance is never a barrier. Whether you’re nearby or elsewhere in the UK, I can support your project efficiently and professionally.
-
What can I expect from a free initial consultation?
- We’ll discuss your goals, lifestyle, and the way you want your space to feel.
- I’ll ask about practical considerations and any challenges you’re facing.
- We’ll talk about your personal style, inspirations, and any ideas you already have.
- I can offer initial guidance based on your preferences and the potential of your space.
- I may take measurements and photos to understand the layout and structure, depending on agreement of work.
- I’ll explain how I work and what services I offer.
- We will agree next steps for working together. This is the perfect time to ask anything about the design process, what’s possible for your space, or my approach to interiors to see if we will be a good fit for each other.
-
How long does the design process usually take?
This is very much based on the scope of the project. During the initial consultation, I will take you through how I work and we will discuss next steps for the project in detail. For example, if you see my Services page, the discovery and visualisation packages can take anywhere between a week and a few months, depending on whether it’s a single space or multiple rooms, and this can be the same as the FF&F (fixtures, fittings and finishes) selection and procurement process. Rendering often takes longer because of the amount of detail involved.
-
Do you manage contractors and tradespeople, or just provide the design?
I can do either. I have a portfolio of reliable people that I can reach out to if this is required as part of the project scope.
-
Can I be involved in the design process, or do you work independently?
Yes, you will always be involved. As involved as you would like to be. Some like to be very hands on and do certain elements of the work themselves, while others like to let the Designer handle everything. It really depends on the project and what we have agreed together. Even if you decide to have little involvement, I will always ensure we have an initial client consultation and that you are kept regularly informed of any updates and all work at every stage will need to signed off by the Client. This will be explained in more detail at the initial consultation.

How do you ensure a design meets my lifestyle and needs?
Creating a home that truly works for you is a partnership. I start by listening carefully to your brief - understanding your lifestyle, priorities, and how you want to live in each space. From there, I combine your vision with my expertise and advice to make thoughtful design decisions.
Throughout the process, I provide clear communication at every stage, so you always know what’s happening and can give feedback along the way. The result is a space that’s tailored to you, functional, cohesive, and a joy to live in.
-
How much does an interior design project typically cost?
This very much depends on the project. Styling can start at as little as £80, while other packages can range from £200 to over £1,000. It is best to contact me to find out more.

-
Do you have trade discounts on furniture or materials that I can benefit from?
I have some trade discounts, yes. While I am building my business, my list is increasing over time. I can also work with tradespeople and contractors who can sometimes help provide some discounts too.
-
Do you offer styling services after the main design is complete?
Yes, I do, and I do recommend styling once the project is complete for a few reasons.
Styling brings the design to life, adding personality, warmth, and cohesion to every room.
From accessories to art and plants, styling makes the space uniquely yours without the stress.
Thoughtful styling ensures your home looks polished, works for everyday life, and feels perfectly balanced.
Whether you’ve had the full visualisation package, or I’ve sourced and procured your furniture, fixtures, and finishes, styling adds the finishing touches that bring everything together. It’s where all the elements and details are layered to make your home look exactly as you envisaged.
However, this is entirely up to you.
-
How do you handle working in homes with families or pets?
I can and have worked with clients who have families, young children and pets. I would just ensure everyone is considered in the process.
-
Can you advise on sustainable or eco-friendly design options?
Absolutely, just let me know. I can help you make thoughtful choices that are better for the environment without compromising on style or functionality. This can include recommending sustainably sourced materials, low-VOC paints, or recycled/upcycled furniture, and products from ethical brands.
-
What happens if I change my mind about a design concept?
I aim to ensure that the design is exactly what you want, so throughout the process we carefully consider your brief, gather feedback, and follow up at each stage. This approach helps to make sure the final design feels right and meets your expectations.
If small adjustments are needed, one additional iteration is included as part of the contract. After that, any further or larger amendments can be made at an additional hourly rate.
For a considerable scope change, a new contract agreement will need to be decided, as this will technically be viewed as a new Brief.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 3D MODEL AND A 3D RENDERING
The 3D model is one of the more time-intensive parts of the design process, but equally, often the most valuable stage for clients.
Here’s what’s involved:
I’ll take all the measurements and details from our initial consultation and 2D plans, then build a digital model from the 2D plan.
Every element of the design - colours, fixtures, fittings, finishes, textures, lighting, and accessories, is researched and accurately represented and will look as realistic to the final space as possible.
A 3D rendering takes it one step further - Rendering uses lighting, shadows, reflections, and textures to produce a lifelike view. It is a final photo-like output that communicates how the finished space will look and feel.Overall, the benefit is that you can see the space as realistically as possible before committing to any purchases or works. This makes it much easier to understand how everything will look and feel, and to make informed decisions with confidence.
3D designs and renderings can help avoid costly mistakes, save time during selection process & installation, and give peace of mind that the design is exactly right before moving forward with procurement.
